- Headline with card index, that will help you to easily navigate the card deck. Stars indicate the level.
- Main idea of the card. A short message about what you will be focusing on to complete this step.
- Things to do. Clear instructions. In this first SHIP card, you will be crafting communication to your customers. Don’t announce new Features – say what you have solved for them.
- Helpful questions will navigate you when you will be in doubt. Check your work – does it answer these questions? Or you can use them during workshops as quick session topics. Or base on them your research.
- Things to avoid are based on years of our experience. No one is safe from bias. Use these as warning signs and also as quality control. During workshops this will help you to keep the course of your discussion.
- What you get is a tangible result of this card. Some cards will result in canvases, boards and lists. Mastery card will often bring new mindset and perspective to your work.

I didn’t invent this in a classroom. The Three Body Product is the result of 10 years of shipping real software. It took me a year to design, test & perfect content of these cards so they really deliver. Fine tuning the steps, sections and design, until the reactions to it started to be overwhelmingly positive. Now I feel confident to share them with you. It’s the manual I wish I had when I was building in the dark.
